The boiled potatoes are sauteed in some spices, herbs and served as a side dish. Bikaneri bhujia, often simply called bhujia, is a popular crispy snack prepared by using moth beans and besan (gram flour) and spices, originating from Bikaner, a city in the western state of Rajasthan in India. You can cook Aloo bhajiya using 8 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

Ingredients of Aloo bhajiya

You need 1 cup of besan/gram flour.
You need 1 of big potato.
It's 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.
It's 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
Prepare 1/2 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
It's as per taste of Salt.
It's a pinch of Baking soda.
You need as required of Water.

In a bowl add all the ingredients and make a smooth paste by adding little water at a time.
Peel and slice the potato.
Heat a pan add oil. When the oil is medium hot dip a potato slice in the batter and put it in the oil to fry.
Fry till they are golden brown in colour. Take them out on a kitchen towel.
Serve the hot bhajiyas with ketchup..

You can make bhajiya or pakoda with any vegetable. Aloo bhujia is a crispy savory snack. Bhujia looks like short thin noodles. Aloo bhujia is also a favorite snack with my grand kids. This is a perfect snack for a relaxed evening.
